Diversity & Inclusivity
We’re striving for better
We don’t tolerate discriminatory behaviour. As part of our Ricoh Way training programmes, we give our leaders the skills to recognise and challenge even the smallest behaviours and unconscious biases that feed into large feelings of exclusion.
Striving for inclusion and diversity isn’t just the right thing to do. Diverse approaches, perspectives and experiences make us more innovative, lead to better decisions and help us better understand the needs of our customers.
Our most recent Gender Pay Gap report showed that we’re still not where we want to be. To help redress the balance, we have a multi-faceted approach, including inclusive recruitment practices, female-focused development programmes and mentoring.
Across other diversity strands, our HR team is working to collect data on our people to help us take action towards becoming a more diverse organisation.
Connect at affinity groups
To empower you to bring your full identity to work, we have employee-led affinity groups that allow members to explore issues and challenges surrounding shared identities, experiences and beliefs. We have active groups in LGBTQ+, gender, ethnicity and disability & neurodiversity, just to name a few. They are great opportunities for us to listen to our people and take on board what’s important to them. For example, based on employee feedback via our affinity groups we enhanced our maternity, paternity and adoption leave policies to six months full pay.
We encourage everyone to bring their ideas, challenges, and experiences and contribute their views on how we’re progressing diversity and inclusivity within our organisation.
