The Ricoh Rugby Change Series Wins Prestigious Industry Award

Ricoh’s Premiership Rugby activation campaign delivered in the 2016/2017 Aviva Premiership Rugby season has been recognised by the industry experts at the European Sponsorship Association (ESA) Excellence Awards.

The ESA Excellence Awards took place on Wednesday, 7th February 2018 at the Science Museum with the sponsorship industry’s finest gathering to acknowledge and celebrate campaigns that evoked emotion in 2017. The ceremony saw a multitude of UK and international winners crowned across twenty four categories.

Ricoh was awarded in the ‘Best Use of Branded Content in Sponsorship’ category where they competed against the likes of Evian and their #wimblewatch LIVE campaign, ‘Allianz Dare to Believe’ and ‘Seeing is Believing for Standard Chartered’. 

Chas Moloney, Marketing Director for Ricoh UK and Ireland, commented: ‘The Ricoh Rugby Change Series has been a very successful campaign for us – through the research that we conduct annually to track and measure the effectiveness of our sponsorship, we know that it resonated well with the Premiership Rugby audience. However, for the activation to be recognised by the sponsorship industry’s experts is something really special and a real recognition of the huge effort that the entire team had put into the campaign planning and execution. I would like to thank our partners Premiership Rugby as well as our agency Phar Partnerships for all their hard work delivering the campaign and ultimately earning this prestigious award.’
