  • Ricoh will demonstrate technologies that unlock productivity gains and enhance customer experiences at the Retail Technology Show (22–23 April 2026 at Excel London)
  • Visitors can explore Ricoh Smart Lockers and digital signage solutions

London, 9 March 2026 –  Ricoh UK will showcase a range of solutions designed to optimise retail operations and elevate customer experiences at the Retail Technology Show in London on 22–23 April 2026.

Retail Technology Show 2026

Ricoh’s end-to-end retail offering is built to tackle key challenges across fulfilment, warehousing, and the in-store environment. Its secure, scalable technologies - combined with managed services - help retailers reduce operational friction, unlock colleague time, and create new revenue opportunities. Solutions on show will include:

Ricoh Smart Lockers

  • Ricoh has expanded the application of its Smart Locker technology to support a wide range of retail workflows, including distribution centre device management, ‘click and collect’ services and product returns. The modular system is designed to help retailers improve operational efficiency and better manage high‑value assets across distribution centres and stores.
  • The technology helps reduce losses and damage to handheld and scanning devices - each typically costing more than £1,000 - by providing controlled, automated issue and return processes. Retailers using Smart Lockers commonly report productivity gains of up to 10 minutes per person per shift at the start and end of shifts.
  • Ricoh Smart Lockers also enhance device traceability and governance. Through connected infrastructure, IT teams gain visibility over device usage, status and availability, enabling them to identify when equipment requires maintenance or replacement. Ricoh provides consultancy services to help organisations integrate the solution with existing systems and operational processes.
  • The solution has been deployed by several major UK retailers and e‑commerce operators. THG, which operates large‑scale fulfilment centres in the UK, recorded a reduction of up to 50% in device issue and return times per shift after implementing Ricoh Smart Lockers within its distribution centres.
  • Ricoh Smart Lockers also support customer‑facing applications such as ‘click and collect’. Retailers using the system benefit from reduced fulfilment and last‑mile delivery costs, increased store footfall, improved operational efficiency and more effective staff deployment.

  • Digital Signage

  • Ricoh solutions help turn retail spaces from passive browsing areas into immersive experiences, holding customers’ attention, influencing buying behaviour and creating new opportunities for revenue growth.
  • These solutions deliver timely, targeted brand experiences through dynamic promotions, wayfinding, and queue management content with centralised control and remote updates.
  • Energy efficient displays and simple content scheduling tools support rapid campaign execution while reducing onsite intervention.
  • Recent deployments include in-store AV for a major beauty retailer, including new flagship sites at Stratford Westfield and Covent Garden.

“Right now, retailers are under pressure to do more with less - serving growing omnichannel demand while protecting margins and improving the in-store experience,” says Paula O’Brien, Director of Sales at Ricoh UK. “Our retail solutions are built to work together, giving retailers practical, rapidly deployable tools that unlock colleague time, reduce operational friction, and deliver measurable improvements in customer satisfaction.”

“Retail leaders tell us they need outcomes they can trust, integrate, and scale. From secure device management to estate-wide digital content, Ricoh provides the technology, integration expertise, and managed services that retailers need to move quickly and scale confidently. We look forward to showing how these solutions deliver value on day one - and continue to do so as needs evolve.”
