Ricoh UK, London, 24 June 2021: Gravity Industries have partnered with Ricoh 3D in their mission to make human flight possible, and soon the companies will once again blend creativity and innovation with the power of 3D printing and polypropylene to bring Gravity’s next ambition, the Electric Suit, to life.
About Gravity Industies
Gravity Industries designs, builds and flies Jet Suits, pioneering a new era of human flight. The company was founded to challenge perceived boundaries in human aviation and to inspire others to dare to ask, “What if?”. Launched in March 2017, the business secured $650,000 investment within the first two months from Tim & Adam Draper, Tim best known for his early investments in Baidu Inc., Tesla and Skype.
Founder and Chief Test Pilot, Richard Browning, leveraged cutting edge technology to reimagine human flight, forging an elegant partnership between mind, body and machine. This vision led to the creation of the world’s first patented Jet Suit. The Jet Suit currently can perform speeds in excess of 80mph and is technically capable of reaching an altitude of 12,000ft (although for safety purposes it is flown lower). The company’s focus is relentless evolution of the technology and bringing this inspirational spectacle to live audiences all over the world in the form of the International Race Series and other performance events. Gravity is now welcoming clients to experience the unforgettable learning to fly a Jet Suit (on a safety tether) at the world renowned Goodwood Estate in the UK. Gravity is also expanding the Gravity Flight Club community of exceptional individuals who share a passion for flight and being part of this pioneering journey.
Gravity Industries’ extended team - made up of over 30 diverse and talented individuals, from engineers to pilots, across five different countries - has enabled the brand to be experienced by over two billion people globally to date, with video views alone running at more than 60million within seven days of launch. In the last three years Gravity executed over 100 flight events across 30 countries including five TED talks.
