PHD Mail Ltd invest £1m in the Ricoh InfoPrint 5000 Production CMYK Inkjet platform, to keep ahead of clients critical demands.

Birmingham, October 14th 2015 - PHD Mail Ltd are proud to announce today at The Print Show at the NEC in Birmingham a £1m investment over five years in the Ricoh InfoPrint 5000 Production CMYK Inkjet platform.

PHD Mail is an industry leader of providing cost effective multi-channel document deliver for corporate clients. They currently have numerous production cut sheet colour printers, which given the increased demand from new and existing clients, had reached their capacity and economic ceiling. The investment in the Ricoh IP5000 Inkjet was made after careful consideration of all available solutions in the market, including cut sheet colour and other Inkjet platforms.

Kevin Dunn, PHD Business Development Director, PHD Mail said: “There comes a point when high volume colour production becomes unviable on cut sheet devices. Given our ever increasing volumes and tight SLAs we now needed a high quality reliable solution to drive our business to the next level of capability. The Ricoh IP5000 meets these requirements and gives us the ability to produce 40m colour A4 images per month”.

Stephen Palmer, Director Production Print, Ricoh UK said: “We are extremely proud to have a reputable industry leader such as PHD Mail to extend their trust in us. This significant partnership will enable them to enhance client value and client satisfaction which is at the forefront of every business. Alongside that, PHD Mail will be able to offer a bespoke service to their clients which will allow them to drive stronger profitability through this responsible technology investment programme”.

The IP5000 is totally flexible which means that PHD Mail will be able to offer highly personalised and tailored messages to their clients to send out to their customers. It will also produce high quality branded images at a rapid ink delivery rate which was an obstacle before the investment.
