Kingsline innovates through further Ricoh investment to enhance client competitiveness

Ricoh UK, London, 4 October 2021 – Digital print and marketing services provider, Kingsline, has strengthened its customers' marketing effectiveness after investing in a Ricoh Pro™ C7200. The investment is designed to boost Kingline’s digital capabilities, ensure momentum in a challenging period and support customers with their own competitiveness - particularly a large client in the charity sector that relies on public donations.

Despite the pandemic leading to a 20% reduction in work, Kingsline identified an opportunity to re-invest in themselves and their capabilities, choosing to move forward rather than stand still. The investment in Ricoh has allowed them to increase their work with a leading UK charity, help them remain competitive and win new business, with a focus on direct mail marketing.

As a business, Kingsline recognised a change in customer requirements. The latest investment complements the existing Ricoh suite of capabilities by building on colour capacity and resilience, enabling Kingsline to maintain maximum consistency across its offering, which often requires a same-day turnaround for printing services. Kingsline’s services include on-demand print materials, as well as charity card printing. With the Pro™ C7200, more jobs can be kept in-house, and expansive media choices and in-line finishing options can fulfil any kind of printed tools clients may need.

David Saunders, Director at Kingsline, said: “I’m pleased to be investing once again with Ricoh. We’ve had a strong partnership for over six years and we can rely on them to challenge us, provide commercial insight and inspiration, as well as advising us on the right technology for our needs.

“The effects of COVID-19 have, in part, been a catalyst for our re-investment with Ricoh. Like many printing companies, we’ve spent time considering what we do and how we do it. As a result, now feels like the right time to make investments that will benefit our clients. Our re-investment will enable us to stay competitive in the marketplace, especially considering the shifting customer needs since the start of the pandemic. The Pro™ C7200 delivers an incredible quality that supports colour and brand consistency for our clients. What’s more, the technology allows us to produce a high-quality print at an affordable cost, which helps to support us during difficult times.

Ricoh is an invaluable partner for us, and I look forward to working closely with the team as we continue to grow and diversify in the print space.”

Simon Isaacs, National Sales Director at Ricoh, added: “I’m delighted to see Kingsline go from strength to strength, with an investment that helps drive their business forward to better support their customers. We’re aligned in our thinking that the best way to future-proof your print business is to be bold and invest in the right areas. The pandemic has, in many ways, highlighted the power of print and as an industry we have to work together for a brighter future.

“Understandably, we are thrilled to continue our partnership with Kingsline and to help them thrive through such challenging times. This re-investment will enable them to continue producing fantastic work for their clients, helping them to keep their services consistent while improving capacity and quality.”

The Ricoh Pro™ C7200 will enable Kinglines to tailor all services to specific client needs, helping them to stand out from the crowd. The developments made for the C7200 series are testament to Ricoh’s customer-led innovation, as well as a business partnership approach in the print industry that allows progression for all parties.
