Ulster University transforms Belfast campus with cutting edge AV technology

Company:

Ulster University traces its roots back to 1865. The University now educates around 32,000 students, having recently completed a major expansion of its facilities. Spanning over 75,000m2, Ulster University’s expanded Belfast campus is a state-of-the-art development that has catapulted the University to the forefront of higher education and events.

Challenge:

During construction, the University identified an opportunity to provide an enhanced digital experience for staff, students, and visitors to the campus. Through a £6m digital transformation project, the University made the strategic decision to equip its spaces with a number of innovative, sector leading, learning technologies.

The room has a clean, organized layout with vertical striped wall panels and a focus on technology integration for interactive learning.

Solution & Benefits:

Pure AV, a Ricoh company, delivered AV technology across 300 learning and work spaces. In the campus’s commercial kitchen, for example, PTZ cameras supported by an Extron system enable instructors and students to easily review their work. The standardisation of AV technology across campus also enables the University to host conferences and events, bringing high-quality experiences to the city of Belfast.
