PZ Cussons transformed its global HQ with hybrid‑ready spaces, modern tech, and wellness‑focused design
The Company
PZ Cussons is a Manchester based consumer goods company founded in 1879. Over the decades, it has evolved from a regional trader to a global business, with products that span personal care, beauty, baby care and nutrition. Its well-known brands include Carex, Imperial Leather, Original Source and St. Tropez. PZ Cussons now employs around 2,500 people globally.
The Challenge
When reopening its offices following the pandemic, PZ Cussons wanted to fully embrace hybrid working, ensuring offices met evolving employee needs as well as supporting those working remotely. To get started, this meant a rethink of how company’s global headquarters at Aviator Way, Manchester, could best serve its staff was necessary.
The Solution
The building now features a series of innovative meeting and collaborative spaces, an amphitheatre-style presentation area, a gym and studio, and a bright and lively café. The ground floor also contains a unique multipurpose area which transforms from multiple intimate workspaces to a single open space for large conferencing and social events. Workplace technologies delivered by Pure AV, a Ricoh company, are threaded throughout the spaces.
