Ricoh’s Print Evolution Live: driving growth in UK production print
In November 2025, Ricoh’s Print Evolution Live returned to our Customer Experience Centre in Telford with its strongest line-up to date.
This year’s event showcased a fully integrated Ricoh portfolio across print and graphic communications, process automation, workplace experience, and cloud and cybersecurity. We convened teams from across Ricoh to create an informative and truly collaborative end-to-end customer experience.
Over 100 attendees came together with a shared focus: driving growth in production print. Those in attendance included well-known printers such as CPI, Paragon, Latcham and PHD Mail, as well as Royal Mail, Nationwide, and universities from across the UK.
The breadth of expertise available each day reinforced Ricoh’s role as a strategic innovation partner, helping organisations explore challenges, refine ideas, and understand how technology and insight come together to deliver stronger business outcomes.
Focusing on Business Outcomes
The event centred not just on technology, but on business outcomes across five practical themes:
- Profit growth through smarter, more connected workflows.
- Workflow automation to improve efficiency and capacity.
- Cybersecurity readiness in increasingly digital production environments.
- Transition strategies for organisations moving from offset to digital.
- Enhancing customer experience through personalisation and data insight.
Print Evolution Live gives customers a space to bring challenges, test ideas, and work with us to shape solutions, serving as a clear example of teamwork in action.
It also gave Ricoh teams the chance to listen, understand emerging challenges, and refine solutions together with customers. And the atmosphere was electric.
Danny Sullivan, from Positive +, a UK specialist in print production and creative marketing services, captured this spirit of partnership: “I think it’s a collaboration between Ricoh and their other partners, ensuring that we can produce what’s required without hassle.”
I was glad to hear this, and couldn’t agree more. A true highlight of my role at Ricoh is knowing that we don’t just sell technology. We create opportunities for our customers to bring their ideas to the table, and together, we turn them into solutions. For me, the value Print Evolution Live brings to customers is creativity. It’s bringing the ideas to life. It’s a chance to connect, share insight, and learn from peers across the industry.
As our own Tim Carter puts it, “Together, we can look at jointly innovating, and helping customers create positive business outcomes.”
Customer Insight: What Attendees Gained
Of course, Print Evolution Live’s value is best reflected in what attendees took away from the event.
Practical ideas customers will act on
Colin Mattinson, from Latcham, a UK specialist in secure, high-volume print and digital fulfilment, shared his experience: “Every time, this event surpasses my expectations with thoughts and ideas to take back. Ricoh adds so much value to our business.” He also noted the positive impact Print Evolution Live has on Latcham each year: “For the next four or five weeks, we’ll be working our way through some of the things that I’ve seen”
Danny echoed this statement, adding, “Ricoh’s team are so experienced and so knowledgeable that we wouldn’t look anywhere else.”
Sector-specific learning for higher education
Chris Rees, from the University of Wales, found clear value in the workflow sessions: “The automation talk was very good for working out those automations between print and documents, to make sure that we have the most efficient workflow.”
He also highlighted the benefit of peer discussion: “Meeting with people who are in similar situations and talking through issues and solutions was extremely valuable.” Finally, he noted the importance of efficiency in a challenging financial climate, saying it was helpful “seeing if we can make efficiencies or improve our service.”
Looking ahead
Over the years, the event has seen a clear shift from us demonstrating the latest innovations in print to a collaborative relationship with our wider graphic communications network.
I’m proud and humbled that the Print Evolution Live event has become a valuable annual fixture for the Graphic Communications community. The event continues to grow as an important space for collaboration, and the discussions and partnerships formed here extend well beyond the two days on site.
