Princess Royal Learning Award

In August 2016 Ricoh UK achieved the Princess Royal Learning Award for our four teir Leadership Programme which only 33 other companies managed to meet the standards of set by the rigorous assessment made by the City and Guilds. It is important to us to invest and develop our staff and encourage learning to gain full potential and engagement from our valued employees.

Living Wage Foundation

Ricoh UK Ltd is an accredited provider of The Living Wage to our employees. The Living Wage is significantly higher than UK minimum wage, is reviewed and reset every November by The Living Wage Foundation, and is positioned to ensure that people in lower-paid roles can still earn sufficient income to satisfactorily live without dependency upon a second income. An additional commitment as an accredited provider of The Living Wage is to also ensure that our UK suppliers also implement a programme to pay The Living Wage to their employees associated with service delivery to us.

BITC – Responsible Business Awards 2015

Ricoh submitted entries into two categories for the 2015 Responsible Business Awards: ‘Inspiring Young Talent’ and ‘Sustainable Products and Services’ Award. We received ‘Shortlisted’ status within the Inspiring Young Talent Award, recognising our work in developing apprenticeships at Ricoh and working with ex-offenders to help create secure long-term employment for young people. For the Sustainable Products and Services Award category, we achieved ‘Finalist’ (top 5 companies) status, recognising Ricoh’s continued and holistic approach to reducing the environmental impact of our products and services.


BITC - CR Index

Ricoh UK Ltd is recognised in the Business in the Community (BITC) annual benchmark of responsible business, the Corporate Responsibility Index (CR Index). In the 2015 CR Index Ricoh UK has achieved a high four star rating and scoring 97% - this a further 1% increase from our 2014 ranking, and up 34% since we began participation in the CR Index in 2010. BITC’s CR Index is the UK’s leading voluntary benchmark of corporate responsibility. It has been operating since 2002, providing businesses with a robust framework to help companies systematically measure, manage and integrate responsible business practice into mainstream business strategy and operations.
