Ricoh UK's Privacy Policy

It is our policy to respect your privacy. You are able to visit and browse the www.ricoh.co.uk ('our Site') without needing to disclose any personal information. Once you choose to provide us with personally identifiable information it will only be used to support your relationship with Ricoh UK and its Ricoh affiliates and authorised Ricoh dealers.

This privacy policy is intended to provide you with information on where we capture information, what we capture and why, how we use that information and who we share that information with.

Who we are
The terms 'Ricoh', 'we', 'us' and 'our' are used in this privacy policy to refer to Ricoh UK and, its agents.

Where we capture information
You will be asked to provide personally identifiable information in the following areas of our Site:
  1. When you need to contact us you will be asked to complete an online form.
  2. When you request a brochure download you will be asked to complete a registration form.
  3. If you make an online purchase you will be asked to complete a registration form.
  4. If you use our dealer/direct locator and you choose to contact a particular dealership you will be asked to complete an online form.
  5. If you choose to subscribe to the Ricoh UK e-newsletter.
  6. If you use our feedback form – which you can also use anonymously.


What information we capture
The types of personal information you will be asked to provide will be:
  1. Your name;
  2. Your address;
  3. Your e-mail address;
  4. Your telephone / fax numbers;
For the online shop you will also be asked for delivery address as well as your credit card details (see T&Cs for online sales). In addition, and in order to tailor our subsequent communications to you and to improve our products and services, we may ask you to provide us with information regarding your personal or professional interests, company demographics / profile, experience with our products and services and your purchase interests.

Information Collected and Stored Automatically
When you visit the Ricoh web site, automated tools are used to log information about each visit. This information does not identify you personally.

The data we collect using automated tools will be:
  • The Internet domain (example: www.ricoh.com) and the assigned Internet protocol (IP) address. (An IP address is a number that is assigned to your computer when you are surfing the Web)
  • The type of browser and operating system used to access our site.
  • The date and time you access our site.
  • The pages that are viewed, and paths that are taken through the Web site.
This log data is processed and summarised by a software tool. We process this information in order to assess site performance, for example to identify popular pages, most frequently downloaded forms, and other characteristics.

This information is used to help us improve our website performance and your experience on our Site. It is used to help us make appropriate decisions on how to improve functionality and content.

How we use this information
Ricoh uses your information to better understand your needs and provide you with better service. Specifically, we use your information as follows:
  1. Information you provide by registering as a ‘web’ user or a ‘Ricoh Shopper’ is used to process your requests and to add functionality to the our Site when you are logged on and improve your experience on our Site.
  2. Information provided through our contact us forms is used to communicate back to you.
  3. Information provided on your personal or business interests is used to help us improve the communication back to you and to help us improve our products and services as well as our Site.
  4. Credit card numbers are used only for payment processing and are not retained for other purposes. (see shop T&Cs)
From time to time, Ricoh may also want to provide you with marketing information we think would be of particular interest, but we will only do so if you have consented to have your information used for this purpose.

Why we collect this information
Our primary goals in collecting information are to provide customers with superior service and to provide all visitors a smooth, efficient, and personalised experience while using our Site.

We use Non-Personally Identifiable Information (log data) on an aggregated basis to analyse customer behaviour to help us understand how visitors use our Site and to measure interest in the various pages. We use this information to improve the content of our Site, to make our Site easier to use, and to customise our marketing and advertising.

Who we share this information with
In order to process your requests and/or communicate back to you, we may share your personally identifiable information with Ricoh affiliates, authorised Ricoh dealers and their agents, but Ricoh will not sell, rent, lease or otherwise transfer your information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required to do so by law.

If you reside outside the European Economic Area, Ricoh may in order to process your requests and/or communicate back to you send your personally identifiable information outside the EEA. How we use Cookies
